You run for it!
– to make social impacts
Why do you run? Do you have a specific “why”? You may run for staying fit, run aiming for a PB, or run as a member of running clubs. We are sure that you have different reasons that you run. Seeing it from different perspectives, it means you run for society or someone unknown. No special preparations are needed. The way we look at this wonderful activity makes it more worthwhile. Anyone is welcome to take this as your first opportunity to start running. Why don’t you take a new step together with us for this period?
What is Patorun(Patrol Running)?
Our Mission
Warm adult eyes, everywhere.
Patorun was launched in Japan in 2013.
Our mission is to provide a warm watchful eye to every corner of the community through Patorun. This is not mere surveillance, but a form of caring local community. It is a society where everyone looks out for each other. Our vision is to expand the circle of people who look out for each other with warm and friendly eyes, and beyond that, to create a society where people can live without anxiety and with peace of mind.

Detection and Rescue of Elderly People with Dementia

A letter of appreciation was presented by the Joyo Police Station of Kyoto Prefecture for finding and securing the safety of a 71-year-old elderly man who had been reported missing.

Tokyo Japan

Twenty-two Patorun members supported the marathon as first aid runners and were able to save the life of a fallen runner. When the runner collapsed, the members confirmed that he was in cardiopulmonary arrest and immediately started CPR. At the same time, they quickly called an ambulance, received an AED from the relief headquarters, and rushed to the scene. The rescue was handed over to the paramedic who arrived at the scene from the emergency headquarters, and the AED was used to administer electric shock. A few minutes later, the runner regained consciousness and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
